Weaning (working title) is an in-progress printmaking body of 810 prints, each representing a day of nursing my daughter throughout my postpartum journey. Each of the 28 months features a distinct linocut or cyanotype composition, with the number of prints in each edition corresponding to the days in that month. The series explores motherhood, postpartum depression, identity, and growth, reflecting the ways the natural world held, sustained, and guided me through each stage of this experience.

I am deeply grateful to the Regional Arts & Culture Council for funding the beginnings of this project, which has lovingly evolved and expanded over the past three years. In Fall 2025, I was an Artist-in-Residence at black whole press, where I received additional funding, access to studio space, support, and materials that allowed me to move the project forward. I hope to complete the series in 2027 and bring this body of work to life through an exhibition.
